My first Mothers Day!

I have no photos to share but I always want to remember my first Mothers Day so I am just going to do a quick post in case my memory fails me one day.
My day started with a sleep in and breakfast in bed (which I could get used too!) I got some yummy french toast, and eggs, and fruit! Jayden and Tyson spoiled me with all of my favorite chocolate and ,and some beautiful purple flowers! Then he gave me a new bin... haha (Random-est Mothers Day present ever but we did need one and it was pretty fancy). I enjoyed a great day at church with my family and Tyson watched Jayden the whole time so I got so much out of all of my lessons! Then when we got home I got lunch and a nap (heaven)! And we enjoyed a big family BBQ with all of my family here on the Island!
I did also get a salt city candle from my parents (which are near impossible to find in Australia), but the next morning when I went to light it I dropped it and it shattered at over the ground :(
But over all it was a perfect first Mothers Day! I can not wait until next year!!!

FIRST WORD!! /8 Months

Jayden has started really babbling over the last week and it is the cutest thing I have ever heard in my life!!! His first word was MAMA!! YAY for me!!!! He said it three times before we really counted it as his first word because sometimes he is a bit hard to understand... When he is crying sometimes he will just stop and scream MAMA! Oh it just melts my heart and makes me stop anything I am doing and come because he actually knows it me!! :) He does also say DADA, in fact starting this morning he just crawls along and plays going dad dad dad dad dad dad dad... haha!! Hopefully I can still hear a Mama sometimes :)

A few facts about Jayden at 8 months!
-Down to two naps a day.
-Is on formula now 
-Wakes up once in the night
-Is a pretty fussy eater :(
-one tooth still
-spends most of his time pulled up of things
-has figured out how to open draws (Dang it!!)
-Loves walks and baths as always
-had an ear infection
-is allergic to penicillin (like his mum)
-Had Gastro
-might be lactose intolerant (thats the formula he has had to go onto)
-Babbles like crazy
-is the funniest baby I know!

A visit to the Doctor

Jayden has been up most of the night for the past couple of days, has been refusing to drink on one side and has just not really been himself, so I thought I better take him to the doctor to get him checked out. It turns out that he has an ear infection, poor little man! Selfishly I was a bit relieved, an ear infection is a lot easier to fix than just a stubborn baby! So hopefully Jayden will be back to his healthy self asap!

Jayden also got his first little bruise this week. Its on his foot after I jammed it in the door. I'm such a bully!

So with all of the things his little body is going through he is still smiling! I managed to capture the absolute cutest photo of him this week!

I love his personality!!

Jayden at 7 months!

I have not really been being very good at updating our blog on all of the cute things that Jayden is doing! So I thought I better do a quick list before he grows up too much more :)


-Has one tooth!
-Pulls himself up on EVERYTHING! and falls a lot :(
-Can sit up from lying on his tummy
-Crawls backwards
-Favorite foods are meat, pumpkin, yogurt, weetbix, cruskets and anything I am eating.
-Favorite things to do are going and walks, taking baths and being outside
-He still wakes up about three time during the night (on a good night)
-Probably weighs about 8kg
-LOVES dogs!!
-Always is smiling and laughs at the noise BOOP!
-Has a great time with his buddies in mothers group!
-He makes a blurting sound ALL OF THE TIME (Video below)
-Is our biggest blessing by far!!


We love our cute little man he is just so much fun and we really couldn't and dont want to imagine life with out him!! Now for the cute photos AND a video :)

Grandma Silvers Birthday!!

We got to go up towards the city to celebrate my Grandma Silvers birthday last weekend at bobbys bistro! It was such a great night with lots of games for the kiddies to play and some really yummy food too! We are so used to being around so much family from when we lived back in Utah, that we really miss having a punch of kids running around and getting to spend time with people that we just know and love so much! We are loving getting to spend time with my side of the family, but we wish we got together more often!! Jayden is such a social little guy he just loves any and everybody especially kids! I do have a confession that that was the first time Jayden and I have gone out after his bedtime since he was born haha it sounds a bit sad but I dont mind one bit! I need every hour of sleep I can get to keep up with that little monkey, I absolutely love being a Mum!!

If you ever want to hear a funny story then ask Tyson to tell you about Riki counting the screws!I just wouldnt do it justice like Tyson can! haha!

The Jeep and Valentines day

So during my blogging famine we had too big events! Valentines day and we bought a Jeep! I just want to do a post on these days so that we can remember them one day!

So first off we bought a Jeep! We had already bought a car here but it is a manual, and even though I said I would drive it, once I actually started to it turned out to be a lot harder than I thought especially with a baby in the back that needed me to reach back and put in his lost pacifier sometimes! So I kindly handed that car shopping over to Tyson and he found a Jeep in the city that needed a bit of work. He brought it home, fixed it and now we drive Tyson's other baby around!

 Did I mention that Jayden loves the Jeep too? haha

And now for Valentines day! It was seriously my favorite day! I did the 12 days of valentines day gifts for Tyson and he loved it, then after Tyson got off work he totally spoiled me with gifts and took me out to get fish n chips like we do every valentines day :) When we got home Tyson gave me like a hour long massage! I am the luckiest girl in the world!!!

The Muzeens came to play!

My grandma went into hospital the week before last to get a new knee and my uncle and his family flew in from Queensland to surprise her! She of course was so excited for have them visit, and so were we! Jayden just loves his second cousins and Natalie is only one month older than him!
They came down to the island for a day and all the kids got to play together it was so cute! We got to go for a walk around the lake by my parents house and look at the ducks too!
